OVERDALE

This full home renovation saw a 1950s bungalow transformed into a sleek, modern home, perfect to accommodate two busy professionals. In collaboration with architects Carrothers & Associates, vaulted ceilings were added throughout the home to create a more open and airy space, a stark contrast to the original 7-foot ceilings. A 500-square-foot addition houses the home’s brand-new master bedroom, ensuite, and foyer, and the entire exterior was given a facelift, including an exterior addition to produce a covered deck and patio space where this family can savour every moment of summer.

Hardscaping by Frontier Landscapes further elevates the outdoor space for a sense of nature and tranquillity, tastefully framed by the home’s grand window. The abundance of natural light creates a sense of openness within the home, complemented by clean lines and warm hues. The homeowner and principle designer of Oak & Arch Home revitalized the space by seamlessly blending modern and classic elements by prioritizing balance between a light, airy feel and the warmth of a well-lived-in home.
